Meyer-Optik Görlitz

Meyer-Optik Görlitz is a traditional German manufacturer of camera lenses known for its high-quality and distinctive lenses. The brand gained fame particularly in the mid-20th century for its exceptional lenses. Classics in the scene include lenses like the Trioplan (the 100mm f/2.8 from this series is perhaps Meyer’s most popular lens), Primoplan, and the Orestor telephoto.

In recent years, Meyer lenses have experienced something of a renaissance. The brand has been revived and is now producing new versions of their classic lenses with modern materials and technologies to meet the demands of contemporary photography.
